The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations and team performance while actively participating in hands-on work. This position ensures that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. The role combines leadership responsibilities with direct involvement in day-to-day tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily work activities to meet production or service goals.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
  • Monitor performance and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and ensure staff have required materials and tools.
  • Report progress, challenges, and staffing needs to management.
 
Operational/Hands-On Duties:
  • Perform skilled or semi-skilled work alongside team members to meet deadlines.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and assist in problem-solving on the job.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.
 
Administrative & Reporting:
  • Record work progress, material usage, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support scheduling, inventory control, and ordering of materials.

 

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • .Associate or technical degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, tools, or standards.
  • Proficient in basic computer and reporting systems.
