Our company operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.
We are currently seeking 20 permanent full-time (minimum of 40 - 48 hours per week) experienced welders to start as soon as possible. We operate on a rotating shift of days and afternoons.
Duties:
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Requirements
- Current welding certification
- 2+ years of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Knowledge of welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW), and multi-pass welding
- Able to stand for extended periods of time within a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention for detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Steel-toed safety boots; welding helmet and gloves
